Licence – Why Choose Drivezone Driving School Penrith?

To sit for your Learners you must be at least 16 years of age and must have held your licence for a period of 12 months before you can take your P1 driving test. You must also have completed your Hazard Perception Test at your local RMS in order to be able to book your P1 driving test. This can be booked once you have held your Ls for a minimum of 9 months. Once you have passed your Hazard Perception Test the RMS will ask you to book your P1 Driving Test. Please do not book it with the RMS as your Drivezone Driving School Penrith Driving Instructor will book the P1 test for you in order to make sure your instructor and the car will be available to you for your p1 driving test.

You must also complete 120 hours of driving, which must include 20 hours of night driving. Over 25’s do not have to complete the 120 hours, only being required to hold their licence for 6 months and complete the Record Card.

At Drivezone Driving School Penrith our driving instructors can sign off on your Logbook that one hour equals three Logbook hours for a maximum of ten lessons. This takes a large portion out of the 120 hours meaning your P1 licence is obtained that much quicker.

The Aged Licence test is also available here at Drivezone Driving School Penrith as well as Overseas licence transfers.

Here at Drivezone Driving School Penrith each student receives a personal Record Card outlining their current driving skills. At the end of each driving lesson the card is updated and a structured plan is devised for the following lesson.
